It’s not about your opinions

This is a part of a prophecy by Wendy Alec (you can trust it). It’s about the UK, but I think this is important to other nations as well:

“… And the Lord spoke and said “The prayers and fervent supplications of My saints in Great Britain – the repentance for the sins of commission and omission on behalf of the governments of Great Britain – on behalf of the people of Great Britain.” Then I asked the Lord about the Church – and He showed me thousands of people all belonging to different denominations with divisions and literally multitudes of OPINION – and somehow it seemed that the people’s opinion was all more important in their eyes than God’s opinion and I heard Him say: “Until their opinions become My opinion the Church will continue to be divided among itself and be weak and underfed and lack the true POWER of GOD – Oh yes,” says the lord – “There are many meetings – there are many committees – there are many opinions – opinions – but it is not the opinion and the thoughts of men’s hearts that will change the destiny of Great Britain [our nation] – but the opinion and the thoughts and intents of the word of the Living God – Humble yourselves – Humble yourselves and put aside your opinions and press into me the Living God for a living Word” – And the Lord said – “A humble and penitent heart I will not despise…”

Yes, God’s opinion - not ours! This is so important! I think we all have forgotten this, but it is all about HIM! This is relevant to the Finnish Church, the Swedish Church, the American Church, the British Church… every church!

We have our own opinions and we see other churches’ faults, but if we’d see it from God’s point of view we would be astounded - God’s sees His people. No church communions - one people.

I know it’s hard not to have your own opinions in life - I mean, I have opinions about everything and very often I don’t even want to listen to God. (let’s be honest with each other) I have my own ideas. Very Often. BUT - We need to crucify our flesh and listen to God. Beacause only then there will be a lucky end.

Lord, bend me!

One Response to “It’s not about your opinions”

  1. I like this post. I too dislike denominational divisions–particularly when they hang on very particular teachings that are not necessarily found in the Bible in exactly that form.

However, often when a person emphasizes that “God’s thoughts are not the thoughts of man,” they insist that their own thoughts are those of God–it is a way of saying, “God agrees with me, but not you,” and so it ends up being the misuse of God’s name (breaking one of the ten commandments).

So, perhaps if one avoids pulling out the “not human but God’s opinion” card during disagreements on opinion, but rather is willing to listen and discuss spiritual matters in humility seeking to understand other points of view even if one does not accept them–as Aristotle said, “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it”–weighing all matters in the light of the Word of God and the Spirit of Christ.

As Thomas a Kempis said, “Many, who often hear the gospel of Christ, are yet but little affected, because they are void of the Spirit of Christ. But whosoever would fully and feelingly understand the words of Christ, must endeavor to make all his [or her] life like in its beauty unto His. How will it benefit you to dispute profoundly of the Trinity, if you are void of humility, and are displeasing to the Trinity because of it? …. If you knew the whole Bible by heart, and the sayings of all the philosophers, what would all that profit you without the love of God and without grace.”

God bless you sister, you have fire in your soul!
