Rain on earth, peace in heaven
It’s raining today. *Sigh* I want to go skiing, but that’s impossible since it’s too warm and rainy outside.
I have nothing to say today. I feel empty… But still, Jesus fills my heart. I feel waves of his love from heaven sometimes, rivers of peace. How we need that.
Why don’t I stop doing all my stuff and be still and quiet before the Lord?
“Be still and know that I am God”
It’s hard to take that precious time with God, even if I know I need it.
But I must not forget that it’s not about works, I just need to turn my eyes upon Jesus. He has told me to do so. Jesus’s eyes reflect peace, love and forgiveness. He can do whatever I ask him to do. Why worry? Jesus has control.
Only God can give us peace.
“Lord, help me understand. Fill me with your peace and strength. You know I long for it.”
It seems like I am writing about this same subject all the time, but that’s what’s on my heart right now. Sorry I the text’s messy. Have a blessed day, people.

Greetings. It’s good to know that we all have the same kind of battles. Being still before the Lord is often hard in these days but always a joy. I have thought of how great it would be to get away from it all; out to an island somewhere for a week or so with just the Lord and a bible. To let go of the world of schedules and expectations and just be in the presence of God and know that we have an eternity before us. Nonetheless, he is always with us wherever we go or whatever takes place and this is so comforting. Thanks for the reflections.
It snowed 10 inches here last night. The soft, powder type of snow. It’s like God did a clean up. Same thing when it rains.
I read an article by Joyce Meyer yesterday. She wrote about God’s love. I recommend Joyce’s books, they are truly inspired by God and they are lifechanging!
She wrote this:
“[God told her]”Joyce, I do so many things for people every day because I love them, and they don’t even see it.” Then he gave me this example: “Every day when I speak to the sun and say, ‘rise’, I do it for you”. Now, I want you to stop and think about that. The sun rises in the sky every day for you! When the rain comes and waters the crop, it rains for you! When the grass grows and the flowers bloom, it’s for you!”
That’s amazing.
